Prasat Bôh Riem is what I call a “fig tree temple”: as you can see, the tree has thoroughly grown into the temple and is its major structural support. All that conservators can do is trim back the roots and branches at periodic intervals, but they won’t be able to remove the tree without causing the temple to collapse.
