Caution: Creek Flash flood
SLOW Pipe Repairs (Note mine: Yeah, those repairs took ages—)
A greeting from an old chap with a gnarled branch for a cane, doddering while we ambled under a wonderfully bright sun today:
“Do you think we’ll have spring soon?”
My response: (Hesitant). (Under my breath.) (Prayerful) “Certainly hope so. How about that sunlight!”
He responds: “What sunlight? Yah mean sunshine?”
I bet you that chappie was an English major. Or a budding poet (at 90, why not?) (:–o)

Yeah, I’d say his mind’s still sharp. That’s a subtle but important distinction.
