Interlude

This entry is part 23 of 92 in the series Morning Porch Poems: Spring 2011

Odor of earth, radiance of greening things—
As if all I have to do is breathe
and the torch flickers to life again,
mirror-sheen on the surface
of a road washed by rain.

In response to an entry from the Morning Porch.
