Divide work between nest and lily,

               Sugar water drips through a clear
 vein, then blooms in the body's cells. Gravity
               helps to arrange the bedclothes. In another
 life we bent our lips to the basin; hum-
               mingbirds pulled nectar through a needle's
 eye. It is no trouble, no trouble at all. We were
              never meant to marry trouble, which left a  ring
of caked brown in the bottom of the cup.
