Hi, Jennifer. Yeah, I’m convinced that Seuss is one of the biggest influences on my own sense of poetic rhythm. Very very good stuff for teaching kids the joy of linguistic play – or maybe just encouraging a natural tendancy in that direction. Dreadful to think how many much-too-grownup people disapproved of Seuss’ books when they first started appearing.
