As in take off, soar, defy
the givens of gravity—lover
of warmth, expanse, and
height, yet besotted with
the charms of DIY.
Or as in sweet
to semi-sweet then dry,
swirling mouthfuls
before emptying the glass
into some kind of spittoon.
Any child can fold
and crease, pitch and aim.
But it's the air
skimming the paper wings
that make it work.
