when not to use resilience

in a sentence: after
a line of hurricanes, a cyclone
with one dark eye
threading through orchards,
rice fields, gated neighborhoods,
shanty towns. nails ripped
from boards, pedicabs
lifted onto roofs floating
away into the mudstained
horizon. car doors and bicycle
chains, everything melted
or now a waterbed. everyone
in mourning and no aid in sight.
only birds with torn wings
expected to deliver the news.
