As another central Pa. blogger I was surprised to find too, that the term “onion snow” wasn’t more commonly known. The only thing I’m still not clear on is if the snow has to lay on the ground for it to count as an onion snow. Or, can a snow squall count as an onion snow? I can’t get a good answer to this one.
